Rev. Lewis Nash, Sr., a life-long resident of North Philadelphia and member of Local 332. Rev. Nash, Sr., purpose of running is to bring a fresh vision of accountable dedication for the residents of this district. With the innovation and purpose needed to make that vision a reality.   


Known for his qualities as a man of integrity and ethics Rev. Nash, is no stranger to hard work and self-reliance; coupled with compassion and service to the community. Coming from humble beginnings Rev. Nash, attended Philadelphia public schools and went to work at age 7 shining shoes. As a young adult Rev. Nash, began a career in the construction trade and has been a member of Local 332 for over 30 years. For over 20 years Rev. Nash, has been actively involved in developing the North Philadelphia community. As a husband and a father who is concerned about the future of his community Rev. Nash, has been committed to the well being of the residents of the 181st District. 

Servant Leader "I am a servant first!"

  

Rev. Nash, is a servant leader that serves first. Since, 1999 as the Pastor of “Faith & Deliverance Church” that has become staple in the community. In 2000 Rev. Nash, founded “Mankind Against Poverty” a non-profit organization and co-founder of “The Philadelphia Interfaith Coalition”. The Philadelphia Interfaith Coalition mission is working to bridge the Gap between Schools, Colleges, Universities and community developers. As a community organizer Rev. Nash, has created working relationships with key city and state officials and a wide array of community organizations. Playing a vital role in negotiating the development of North Philadelphia business corridors and becoming one of the forefront planners of the new PHA development project. This milestone translates into 650 million dollars invested in the North Philadelphia community. That brought an estimated 250 jobs for both Union an Non-Union workers for Philadelphia.

"I am a triple 'A' man of God. By that I mean I am; approachable, accountable, and accessible."


He believes in working hard everyday to make safe and prosperous North Philadelphia communities a reality for us all. As a survivor of Lymphoma, Reverend Nash is a fighter, and he will be a fighter so that all people in the communities he serves have a better quality of life.
